Online schooling has been miserable
I wake up every day thinking the same thing, just wishing I didn't wake up in general, because whenever I wake up it always feels like today is yesterday, and every day is the same. I'm 17 years old (in 11th grade) and my parents have a very extreme amount of pressure on me to get my homework done, due to Covid I've been doing online schooling and have hardly been able to see friends at all. It has been unbearable. I'm behind on so many assignments, and the end of the semester is next week. My mom has been coming into my room yelling at me to do 10 assignments per day, which is easily 6 or more hours of work, and it makes me more anxious every time she comes into my room to yell at me. I don't see the point in school at all, first semester alone I've had well over 300 assignments between 6 classes. Can't fucking take it anymore, I have 60 or so assignments left.
I've been taken to therapy, and diagnosed with depression and anxiety, I was prescribed fluoxetine which is a medication for my illnesses. I've been taking fluoxetine for about 4 weeks now, and I feel no effect whatsoever, if anything, things are worse than before. Already contacted my doctor for new medication or a higher dosage, I have to wait until February though.
The end of the semester is next week, and I'm failing 4 out of 6 of my classes. If I fail any of my classes when the semester ends, my parents are going to ground me. If I get grounded, I don't know what the fuck I'm gonna do, because pretty much everything that makes me happy involves the things they're going to take away, like my computer ( which allows me to talk with friends, do digital art, and make music). I'm so fucking sick of having to comply with school when I'm learning literally nothing, I don't get to socialize with friends anymore, and my parents are constantly nagging me about assignments.
